Lauren wore a tailored mermaid-style dress from Dolce & Gabbana during the event, featuring a high neckline and a lace corset bodice. She finished off the look with a tulle veil.
The 55-year-old mentioned that shewas deeply inspiredby ’50s-inspired wedding gowns, especially the lace dress worn by Sophia Loren inHouseboat.
“It started as ‘I want a simple, sexy modern dress’ and evolved into ‘I want something that captures a moment,’ and where I am right now. I am a different person than I was five years ago,” she said.Vogue.
I looked at images of brides from the 1950s. I wanted to recreate something, and I saw Sophia Loren with her hands in that position, wearing a high lace dress that reached her neck, and I thought, ‘That’s it. That’s the dress.’
“It marks a shift from what individuals anticipate, including my own expectations—but it’s profoundly authentic to me,” she concluded.
