Labors Vows: ‘Throw Everything’ at Gaining Exemption From US Tariffs, Says Labor Party

The Employment and Workplace Relations Minister, Amanda Rishworth, has characterized US President Donald Trump’s proposal to increase steel and aluminum tariffs twofold to 50 percent as “unacceptable.”

“This remains a challenging field, but it’s one where we’ll invest all our efforts,” she said to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

Ms Rishworth confirmed that the government remains committed to advocating for the removal of US tariffs on Australian steel and aluminum products.
