Tips for Job Seekers

With thousands of graduates entering Kenya’s competitive labor market each year, only a small percentage secure employment due to limited opportunities. Career development specialist Simon Ingari shared valuable insights on how job seekers can increase their chances of success.

Ingari emphasized the importance of creating a well-structured CV that highlights achievements rather than generic information. He advised professionals and recent graduates to tailor their CVs to match the keywords in the job description. “Companies want to see results,” he said. “Focus on outcomes, such as ‘30% increase in sales’ instead of outdated personal details like your ID number, marital status, or primary school education.”

He also stressed the importance of honesty and uniqueness in CVs, noting that poorly constructed resumes significantly reduce the likelihood of being invited for an interview.

Other Organizations Advertising Jobs

In related news, other organizations have also announced job openings. The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has released 92 job vacancies for professionals and interns. Similarly, KCB has advertised multiple positions for job seekers in July 2025. Meanwhile, the Kenya Railways Corporation has also announced vacancies for senior positions, indicating a growing demand for skilled professionals across different sectors in the country.
