Nyambura went to look for greener pastures in Dubai and was successful because she was drawing a huge salary from her employer
-
While she had a lot of money, Nyambura was living a very lonely life as she had no social life, and that made her start looking at her life critically
-
She is now living in a warm village in Central Kenya where she moved so she could start from scratch with her dear father
Unlike many people who are in the rat race trying to acquire a lot of money and live in luxury, Nyambura put all that down and made the scary decision of returning to the village to start life again.
Why did Nyambura quit her job?
Speaking to
.co.ke
, Nyambura shared that she had a lucrative job in Dubai for three and half years but she got depressed because of a lack of a social life.
“Life was repetitive, with no joy, just a lot of money in the account. I got tired, quit, and returned home. Now, it is just my dad, and it hasn’t been so long here, but I’m much better now,” she said.
“I was tired of living on the edge, chasing something that didn’t want to be caught in the first place. Eventually, just like anybody else, I got frustrated,” she said.
Nyambura was also keen to explain that she didn’t just spring out of bed on a whim and leave; it was a slow journey.
In a TikTok video, she said that she was in pursuit of a more sustainable lifestyle that doesn’t take her soul. So that is how she ended up in a warm village in the heart of Central Kenya.
Nyambura is now documenting her life while trying to figure out how people begin life again from scratch
