The 24-year-old had hoped to get support from the Youth Fund, only to be told there’s no money until the next financial year
Godfrey Omondi is appealing to well-wishers for urgent financial support to help him take up a rare overseas job opportunity.
However, the 24-year-old fears the life-changing opportunity could slip through his fingers due to a lack of funds.
Why Omondi could lose Qatar chance
Omondi told

that he secured the lucrative job offer in Qatar through Destiny Recruitment Agency.
With just days left before his scheduled departure, his dreams now hang in the balance after a last-minute disappointment from a government funding source.
“I had hoped to get support from the Youth Fund, but yesterday I was informed that they have no money available until the next financial year,” he said.
To finalise the travel arrangements and related requirements, Omondi urgently needs KSh 150,000.
Why Omondi needs KSh 150k
The cash is meant for his ticket and payment for the visa to be printed. Without it, he risks losing the chance.
With his employer expecting him within a few days, he is appealing to anyone out there who can support him in any way to come forward.
“This job could be my breakthrough, and if I make it, I promise to use that opportunity to uplift others as well,” he promised.
Omondi hopes that sharing his story might reach compassionate individuals or organisations willing to help.
Anyone willing to support Omondi is urged to reach out as soon as possible before time runs out.

Teachers, nurses, engineers, mechanics, housemaids, caregivers, drivers, housekeepers, gardeners, beauticians, cleaners, and farm specialists are among the available vacancies.
The first nationwide recruitment exercise began on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Machakos Technical Institute for the Blind.
Labour CS Alfred Mutua asked job seekers to register and log in to the eCitizen portal to acquire relevant documents for interviews.
Applicants are required to provide academic and professional documents, a certificate of good conduct, and a travel passport or eCitizen passport registration details for those who have applied and have not received the document.
