Kelly Osbourne Speaks Out Against Rumors About Her Father’s Health
Kelly Osbourne, daughter of legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne, has taken to social media to address recent online rumors about her father’s health. The “Changes” singer is not holding back in her response, as she aims to set the record straight about the false narratives circulating online.
On July 11, Kelly shared a message on her Instagram Stories, clarifying that a video circulating on social media featuring what appears to be her father is actually an AI-generated clip. “It has a voice like my dad’s David Attenborough or something,” she said. The video reportedly starts with the line, “I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die. I know I’m going to die.”
“What the f-k is wrong with you people?” Kelly questioned. “Why would you spend your time making a video like this?”
Despite the ongoing challenges Ozzy Osbourne has faced with Parkinson’s disease, including difficulty walking, Kelly emphasized that her father is far from his deathbed. “He’s not dying,” she said. “Yes, he has Parkinson’s and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying. What is wrong with you?”
In addition to addressing the false claims about her father’s health, Kelly also tackled another rumor that has been gaining traction. She mentioned that some are suggesting her parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, have a suicide pact. “Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact,” she urged. “That was bulls-t. My mom said that to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop.”
The origins of these rumors can be traced back to 2017 when Sharon Osbourne discussed the idea of an assisted suicide with her husband. At the time, she told The Mirror that both she and Ozzy had made plans to go to Switzerland for euthanasia if they ever developed a brain-related illness. “Ozzy and I have absolutely come to the same decision,” she said. “We believe 100 percent in euthanasia so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains.”
Sharon added, “If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer’s, that’s it—we’d be off.” She also reflected on her own experience with her father, Don Arden, who passed away in 2007 after suffering from Alzheimer’s. “I saw my father suffer from the day he came back into my life in 2002 to the day he died in July,” she said. “There’s no way I could go through what he did or put my kids through that.”
Kelly’s public statements highlight her commitment to protecting her family’s privacy and dispelling misinformation. As the daughter of two iconic figures in the music industry, she continues to navigate the challenges of fame while standing by her loved ones. Her efforts to clarify the truth serve as a reminder of the importance of responsible reporting and the impact of online speculation on personal lives.
