Kai’s Dream Stage: The Premier Cultural Festival of Europe, Donau Inselfest

Musical performer Kai is set to appear on the stage coveted by artists worldwide.

Kai was included in the lineup for ‘Donauinselfest,’ Europe’s biggest musical event, taking place over three days starting from June 21 (Korean Standard Time) until June 23.

The renowned event known as the ‘Danube Angel Festival,’ where many musicians aspire to perform, started in 1983 and has grown into Europe’s biggest pop culture festivity, taking place each summer on an artificially constructed island within the Danube River near Vienna, Austria. This massive musical gathering attracts around three million attendees annually and spans over 600 hours across 16 different stages. The lineup includes a wide array of music styles along with performance arts, stand-up comedy shows, activities suitable for families, panel discussions, and enriching cultural encounters.

On June 21, during the second day of the TOURISMUS BUHNE festival, Kai will present a special performance lasting approximately 30 minutes. This showcase will feature music from the Korean crossover genre along with some well-known hits. Notably, this event marks Kai’s debut appearance at the festival with an entirely new stage setup. The performance is also part of the annual Hallyu festival called ‘Inspire Me Korea,’ organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Austria, which has been drawing significant anticipation locally since its inception in 2022. Each year, ‘Inspire Me Korea’ attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees and stands out as the sole Hallyu celebration in Austria.

In the meantime, Kai will appear before the audience as the lead character Phantom during the 10th-anniversary performance of the iconic musical “Phantom.” This event is scheduled at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul from August 3rd to 11th. Additionally, he will also take part in a special show at Europe’s biggest music festival.
