Junior Achievement’s 7th Annual Wine & Beer Festival: Sip into Success!

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – A highly-anticipated event that’s become an annual South Bend tradition took place on Friday night.

We’re talking about the Junior Achievement Wine and Beer Festival at Four Winds Field.

The event, which is going on its seventh year now, allowed attendees to indulge in over 75 unlimited beverage offerings plus live entertainment from the band PS Dump Your Boyfriend.

Junior Achievement says this is its biggest fundraiser of the year.

“It’s what allows us to provide up to 10,000 student experiences to St. Joe, students alone, and financial literacy, career readiness or entrepreneurship through lessons that our volunteers go and deliver at the schools,” said Kristy Bridegroom, director of development for Junior Achievement in St. Joseph County.

The Junior Achievement classes are described as a gift from the business community to the schools. Each class is taught by a volunteer who works collaboratively with other local educators in the area.
