– Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has downplayed President William Ruto’s 2027 re-election bid.

Speaking in Embu county on Friday, June 6, Kioni insisted that Ruto will not win the 2027 presidential election.

While referring to the now-popular phrase ‘wantam’, the Jubilee Party SG suggested that the majority of Kenyans are tired of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration.

“One thing is crystal clear — Wantam for this regime! Kenyans are tired of empty rhetoric, hollow promises, and endless blame games. This government has mastered the art of talking without delivering, while the cost of living keeps skyrocketing,” Kioni said.

Kioni cheekily claimed Ruto cannot be reelected even if he is the chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

He further warned against any plans by the government to interfere with the 2027 election, arguing that Kenyans will not allow their votes to be stolen.

“Kenyans have already decided that even if William Ruto becomes the IEBC Chairman, he will still be ‘wantam’. And we shall be very keen, let them not attempt to steal the elections,” he warned.

Kion affirmed the commitment of the former ruling party to capture power in the upcoming election.

“Jubilee remains the party of choice across the board, grounded, tested, and focused on real solutions. The people know who stood with them when it mattered,” he added.
