Jayden Daniels Explains His 2025 Bulk-Up Strategy

Jayden Daniels Explains His 2025 Bulk-Up Strategy

Many things went well for Jayden Danielsand the Washington Commanders’ performance last season as the team reached the NFC Championship game in their first year with Dan Quinn.

However, one aspect that was not favorable was the frequency with which Daniels was tackled, as he recorded 47 sacks, placing him sixth among quarterbacks in terms of hits received. For a player like Jayden, who has a lean physique, this is not optimal and poses a risk of injury.

During this off-season, Daniels—who has previously played at 6-4 and around 2010—has gained some muscle, and as training camp started, he explained the reason behind his decision.

Clearly aim to absorb and ease the impact as much as possible,Daniels saidThat helps because those guys could definitely land a good hit on you and they’re much heavier than I am. So, try to build more muscle to better absorb the impact.

In a perfect scenario, Daniels would avoid those impacts entirely, but the reality is that he will be hit, he will be pushed, and an additional layer of protection will assist in preventing harm.

Because of his playing style and the fact that Jayden enjoys escaping the pocket and moving downfield, he becomes a prominent target when he’s running. As a result, his larger physique will assist him in bouncing off would-be defenders and make it simpler for him to endure the hits he’ll face.

In Year 2, Daniels and the Commanders are set for a significant season, with hopes for success at an unprecedented level, making it essential to play a full season.

And with Jayden’s more robust build, it could be somewhat easier to accomplish that.
