Islamabad Police Kick Off Summer Camp for Child Development

In line with the vision of Inspector General Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi for public-centric policing, Islamabad Police on Wednesday officially inaugurated the Summer Camp 2025 here at Police Lines Headquarters.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Logistics, Abdul Haq Imrani. The Summer Camp is designed to promote community policing and contribute to the mental and physical development of children. Officials emphasized that children are the future of the nation, and such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing their potential.

The camp is organized regularly each year. Since its inception in 2002, the camp has gained popularity among the residents of Islamabad.

This year, professional coaches have been appointed to train children in football and golf. In addition, participants are receiving hands-on experience in swimming, horse riding, martial arts, gymnastics, archery, and obstacle-based physical activities.

Beyond sports, children are also being educated on important topics such as personal safety and security, first aid, and traffic rules. These activities are aimed at fostering a spirit of healthy competition, building self-confidence, and expanding children’s exposure to environments beyond the home. The camp is open to children between the ages of 4 and 12, and continues to serve as a successful model of community engagement and youth development led by Islamabad Police.
