iPhone 17 Pro May Launch in Five New Colors, Leaks Reveal

Exciting New Colours for the iPhone 17 Pro

As the countdown to the next iPhone release continues, Apple fans are already speculating about what the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro might look like. Rumours suggest that the new model could come in five brand-new colours, including a striking and unusual fluorescent orange. This bold design choice could mark a significant shift in Apple’s traditional aesthetic.

According to renders shared by Apple Insider, the iPhone 17 Pro might be available in a vibrant ‘fluorescent’ orange. This eye-catching hue is expected to stand out from the more conventional options such as Dark Blue, Grey, Black, and Silver. However, this new colour has sparked mixed reactions among users. Some have praised it as “amazing” and “hot,” while others have criticized it as “the worst color of a phone I have ever seen.”

The potential orange shade was first mentioned by veteran Apple leaker Sonny Dickson, who shared an image of the lens protection rings supposedly for the upcoming iPhone. Dickson suggested that the ‘orange’ colour might actually be a copper or dark gold, aligning more closely with Apple’s usual offerings for the Pro model. However, another leak from Macworld contradicts this claim.

Macworld reportedly accessed an internal document containing Pantone colors used as a reference for designing the new iPhones. The document referenced a bright, saturated orange named ‘TCX Papaya.’ If true, this would represent a major departure from Apple’s recent preference for muted and metallic designs on the Pro and Pro Max lines.

Despite the mixed opinions, many Apple fans have expressed excitement about the possibility of a more colorful lineup. Apple commentator Majin Bu shared a render of the new iPhone, writing, “iPhone 17 Pro Orange looks amazing.” Another user added, “The orange on the next iPhone Pro is kinda hot.” Some even said they might consider buying an iPhone for the first time if it were released in orange.

However, not everyone is convinced that these new designs are a step in the right direction. One commenter wrote, “iPhone 17 Pro in orange looks very bad,” while another called it “the ugliest color they have ever made.”

Unfortunately, there won’t be any way to confirm the real colors until the iPhone 17 is officially launched in September. MailOnline has contacted Apple for comment, but the company remains tight-lipped about any potential design changes.

Apple’s iPhone 17 unveiling event is expected to take place on Monday or Tuesday in the second week of September, broadcast live from Apple HQ in Cupertino, California. The event’s digital invite, potentially hinting at the iPhone 17’s design, will be sent out to members of the press and industry analysts in the weeks prior.

Fans can expect four models to choose from: the standard model, an ultra-thin iPhone 17 ‘Air,’ and the more expensive iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Air, also referred to as ‘iPhone 17 Slim,’ is expected to be a lighter, thinner option, rivaling the Galaxy Edge recently released by Samsung.

The standard iPhone 17 will have two camera lenses in a vertical alignment, one on top of the other. The other three models will feature a rectangular camera bar across the back, similar to Google’s Pixel phones. This suggests Apple needs more space on the back of the phone to accommodate advanced camera components for its high-end handsets.

In addition to the new design features, the iPhone 17 will have an aluminium frame with a glass back, enhanced cameras, and a powerful A18 chip for advanced AI tasks. With so much anticipation and speculation, Apple fans are eager to see what the new iPhone 17 will bring to the market.
