IDF Strikes Over 100 Terror Targets in Gaza Amid Lebanon Operations

IDF Conducts Targeted Operations in Southern Lebanon and Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have carried out several targeted operations in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, focusing on disrupting militant groups and neutralizing threats. These actions are part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and prevent the resurgence of hostile forces in the region.

Operations in Southern Lebanon

In southern Lebanon, the IDF has taken steps to prevent Hezbollah from re-establishing its presence. This includes the elimination of key figures and the destruction of critical infrastructure. One such operation involved the dismantling of a compound located in the Jabal Blat ridge. The site was found to contain weapons and served as a firing position. Reservists identified the location, and soldiers subsequently destroyed it.

Another significant operation took place in the Lavona area, where military personnel uncovered a cache of weapons, including a multi-barrel launcher, machine guns, and explosives. An underground facility used for storing arms was also discovered and destroyed. These actions are aimed at reducing the capabilities of Hezbollah and preventing future attacks.

Additionally, the IDF confirmed the killing of Hussein Ali Muzhir, a high-ranking member of Hezbollah’s Badr Unit. Muzhir was responsible for directing rocket attacks against Israel. His activities included coordinating attacks and supporting the rehabilitation of Hezbollah’s artillery in southern Lebanon. The military stated that his actions violated the existing ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

Operations in the Gaza Strip

The IDF has also been active in the Gaza Strip, continuing its operations against Hamas and other terrorist organizations. Over the past day, the Israel Air Force struck more than 100 targets across the region. These targets included terrorists, booby-trapped structures, weapons storage facilities, anti-tank missile launch posts, tunnels, and other strategic locations.

In northern Gaza, soldiers engaged in combat, eliminating terrorists and discovering weapons. A notable find was a cache of explosive devices and landmines hidden within a civilian structure. The IDF emphasized that these items were carefully dismantled to ensure public safety.

In addition to these efforts, the military reported the killing of members of a terrorist cell and the dismantling of military structures used for terrorist purposes. A Hamas weapons facility was also targeted and struck. These operations demonstrate the continued focus on disrupting the capabilities of militant groups in the region.

Focus on Terror Infrastructure

In southern Gaza, the IDF identified and eliminated a terrorist cell, further weakening the operational capacity of Hamas. The military also targeted terror infrastructure in the Rafah area, which is known for being a hub for militant activity. These actions are part of a broader strategy to reduce the threat posed by extremist groups and to protect civilians from potential attacks.

Overall, the IDF’s operations reflect a coordinated effort to neutralize threats and maintain stability in both southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. Through targeted strikes and the dismantling of infrastructure, the military continues to work towards ensuring national security and preventing the resurgence of hostile forces.
