Founder of House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has addressed
a viral video
that captured what looked like a tense moment between him and a Lagos-based content creator.
The video, which made the rounds on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), shows Adefarasin seated in his Range Rover Autobiography, allegedly holding what many believed was a firearm. The pastor winds down his window to sternly warn a TikToker, known for documenting luxury cars around Lagos, to stop filming him.
Visibly shaken, the content creator later posted the footage online, leading to claims that the cleric pointed a gun at him — a move many called an excessive and threatening response to what they saw as an innocent video.
Social media users immediately went into detective mode: some zoomed in, claiming it was clearly a gun. Others argued it could have been a taser or another form of self-defence tool. The internet remained split.
