Apart from other NSX models you may come across, this one stands out due to its low mileage. Having only traveled 1,700 miles (2,740 km) since new, it hasn’t seen much use despite being designed for enjoyable everyday driving.

Type S
The more driver-oriented variant of the NSX launched by Acura in 2022 replaced the original model from 2016. At the conclusion of NSX manufacturing at their Ohio facility, only 350 Type S units were produced, with approximately 300 designated for the U.S. market. These vehicles have since become quite desirable among enthusiasts.

The Type S introduced a fresh design to the NSX through modifications to the bumpers, side skirts, and rear section. These updates added an aggressive aesthetic while also reducing uplift and enhancing ventilation. The vehicle features a tri-motor setup paired with a 3.5-liter V6 engine.

The powertrain received an upgrade from 573 hp (580 PS) to 600 hp (608 PS). Additionally, new forged wheels expanded both the front and rear tracks, and a carbon fiber roof reduced the center of gravity while also decreasing the vehicle’s total weight.

To cut weight even further – by 57.8 lbs (26.2 kg) – Acura offered a Lightweight Package that netted you carbon brakes, a carbon engine cover and carbon interior trim package. That’s what the original owner of this car specified, the option tick adding $13,000 to the original $169,500 MSRP. Throwing in $1,500 for black wheels inflated the MSRP to $186,995 including destination, but 1,700 miles later its new owner paid a $32,000 premium to buy the same car on

Reviewing prior sales on Bring a Trailer indicates this isn’t unusual. A different 2022 Type S equipped with the Lightweight Package, which had just 704 miles (1,130 km) on it and was originally priced at $184,995, fetched $265,000 a few months back. Additionally, over the last six months, four more Type S models have surpassed the $200K mark.
