On Wednesday night, a brutal home break-in in Vancouver led to two fatalities and two people being injured, as reported by authorities.
Approximately 6:15 p.m. on July 23, the Vancouver Police Department arrived at a residence near McKenzie Stadium after receiving a report from a man who said an unidentified man had entered his house through a window while holding a shotgun and assaulted him.
The victim was able to flee to a neighbor’s residence, but sustained injuries during the conflict.
As police searched the vicinity, they located a man and a woman in a nearby residence. The woman had already passed away, while the man was wounded.
Officials also found a deceased individual matching the suspect’s description in a different residence, apparently having died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both injured individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care.
The Major Crimes Unit of the Vancouver Police Department is carrying out an inquiry.
Authorities mentioned that there is currently no danger to the public. Additional information has not been disclosed at this moment.
