NEW MEXICO
(KRQE) – A surge of monsoon moisture will begin moving back into New Mexico again Monday. This will increase the chance of rain and thunderstorms. By Tuesday, rain chances will be nearly statewide again, with locally heavy rainfall possible, especially in southern and southeast New Mexico. These showers and storms will continue to be widespread through Thursday with slightly cooler temperatures.

By Friday, the jet stream will flatten out across the state, bringing calmer and hotter weather through the weekend. We will still see a chance of a few showers and storms across eastern parts of the state through the weekend, though.
