Also present were Ms. Gifty Ofori Ansah, the Municipal Director of Health Services, and Dr. Akua Gyimah Asante, the Medical Superintendent of the Lekma Hospital. This meeting focused on strategies to enhance the efficiency of health services within the municipality.

Engaging with Health Centre Staff

Following the meeting with the municipal officials, Dr. Amesiya visited the Ledzokuku Municipal Health Directorate. There, he interacted with staff members from various health centers, including the Teshie Community Clinic and Camp 2 Health Centre. His visit aimed to understand the challenges and opportunities within these facilities and to foster better communication between different levels of the health system.

The MCE assured the staff of his continued support and expressed his commitment to rebranding the health services in Ledzokuku. He emphasized the need for cooperation between the assembly and health institutions to ensure that the community receives quality care.

Insights from the Lekma Hospital

At the Lekma Hospital, both the MCE and the Regional Director engaged with hospital staff, answering their questions and addressing concerns. Dr. Amesiya outlined the four approaches adopted by the Director General of the Ghana Health Services to improve health delivery across the country. These strategies are designed to enhance service efficiency and patient outcomes.

He praised the hospital’s management and staff for their dedication and encouraged them to uphold the ethical standards set by the Ghana Health Services. Dr. Amesiya also commended the efforts made to maintain a clean and welcoming environment, which is essential for attracting patients and ensuring their comfort.

Motivation and Rebranding Efforts

The MCE took the opportunity to motivate the hospital staff, urging them to continue providing excellent service and maintaining the hospital’s reputation. He reiterated his intention to rebrand Ledzokuku, making health service delivery a top priority. This vision aligns with broader goals to improve public health infrastructure and accessibility in the region.

Tour of Hospital Facilities

After the discussions, Dr. Amesiya and his team toured the hospital facility. They visited the emergency and maternity wards, inspected a newly constructed patient toilet facility, and examined the liquid oxygen plant recently handed over to the hospital by the U.S. government. These visits underscored the importance of modern infrastructure in supporting effective healthcare delivery.

Through this visit, Dr. Amesiya reinforced the commitment of the regional health directorate to collaborate with local authorities and health institutions. By focusing on efficient service delivery, maintaining high standards, and investing in infrastructure, the goal is to provide better healthcare to the people of Ledzokuku and beyond.
