ROCK, WV (WVNS) – Come one, come all to the new event called Haunt Fest. The first-ever Haunt Fest will take place right on the grounds of Lake Shawnee Amusement Park on Saturday, June 21st.
It is a full day and night event, kicking off at noon and lasting until midnight. Organizers from Appalachian Ghost Tours and the Keeper of the Grounds themselves are eager to keep the history of Lake Shawnee going.
“We think it’s very important that people hear the stories of what happened in the past. So that way we can learn from the past and also we can do better in the future. It has definitely been a full time job for the entire team,” said Grounds Keeper, Chris White.
“It has definitely been a full time job for the entire team, but we’ve loved every minute of it and we’ve worked closely with the owner of Shawnee and of course he’s put a lot of work to it as well,” said Founder of Appalachian Ghost Tours, Pamela Huff.
Over 80 vendors and 10 to 15 Food vendors will be on the grounds. Story telling tours and Ghost Tours will also be part of the event. Multiple TikTok famous guests will also be roaming the grounds.
The event kicks off on Saturday, June 21 and ends on June 22.
