Hanoi’s Tourism Booms: Searches Spike 4,400% for National Day Holiday

Queries for accommodations in Hanoi jumped dramatically by 4,418% compared to last year for the forthcoming National Day holiday, rendering it the top domestically sought-after location.

According to data provided by the online travel platform Agoda, which analyzed search activity between April 1 and May 20, 2025, for stays from August 30 to September 3, 2025, Nha Trang secured the second position, trailed by Da Nang, Dalat, and VungTau.

As visitors prepare to enjoy the national parade, fireworks, and celebrations, Hanoi’s appeal is growing, according to Agoda.

The city is preparing for a significant event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

This year during the holidays, Vietnam will observe a four-day break running from August 30th through September 2nd, which encompasses a weekend.

During the 80th National Day festivities, both the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security will arrange for a military procession along with an inspection of troops in Hanoi.

Recently, Hanoi was listed as the 11th most popular tourist city globally in 2025, according to a ranking by a British publication.
