European Beach Destinations
.

The stunning Greek coastline can be found on the nation’s northern Kassandra Peninsula.

The judges characterize Port Glarokavos Beach as a ‘natural treasure’ featuring a ‘serene lagoon’ and ‘fine sand’.

The natural beauty of this locale features a peaceful lagoon, crystal-clear turquoise water, fine golden sands, and verdant pine forests, making it an ideal spot for a serene and picture-perfect beach experience, according to the panel.

The beach is perfect for kayaking and paddleboarding because of its calm and secure shallow waters.

Port Glarokavos features designated areas equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds alongside ‘untouched’ and ‘undeveloped’ zones for visitors seeking ‘tranquility and seclusion.’

The judges further comment: ‘Glarokavos draws individuals seeking to detach and lose themselves in an unrefined and genuine seaside haven.’

It’s not only the panel members who are struck by admiration for this Greek treasure.

A traveler who awarded the beach a five-star review on TripAdvisor commented: “Our vacation was incredible, and we’re excited to return soon! The pleasant climate, beautiful views, delicious cuisine, and relaxed ambiance made our stay wonderful.”

One person characterizes the ocean vista from the shore as ‘enchanting,’ whereas another commenter mentions that it was ‘exceptionally pristine.’

Following their day at the beach, visitors can make their way to Pefkochori village to savor regional dishes.

The judges suggest exploring one of the charming nearby tavernas where visitors can enjoy dishes like grilled seafood, Chalkidiki olives, honey, and other local specialties.

British travelers can get to Port Glarokavos by flying into Thessaloniki International Airport, which is approximately one hour’s drive away from the shore.

All of British Airways, Jet2, easyJet, TUI, BA Euroflyer, Ryanair, BA CityFlyer, and Malta Air offer direct flights to Thessaloniki.

The flight duration is approximately three and a half hours, and based on Skyscanner, October offers the most affordable fares for travel to this destination.
