Grassroots Movement Seeks Universal Healthcare Through Petition in Nevada

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A fresh community-driven initiative is urging state officials to offer universal health care for all residents of Nevada, and this movement is picking up steam online.

Nevadans for Healthcare Justice, an advocacy group, has started a Change.org petition encouraging legislators to address universal health care during the upcoming legislative session. To date, many residents of Nevada have joined the initiative, highlighting increasing medical expenses and limited availability of care as primary concerns.

Advocates argue that the state must move quickly.

The organization stated, “Universal health care has the potential to act as a unifying force during times of discord. When individuals are in good health, they possess the liberty to express creativity, drive innovation, and genuinely prosper, which ultimately enhances the well-being of everyone in Nevada.”

As part of an effort to bring this matter into focus before the 2025 legislative session, an online petition has been launched. Supporters are simultaneously reaching out to various communities throughout the state and encouraging citizens to reach out to their elected officials as well.

The petition is available for public signing at:
