Ginger Zee Shares Kayak for Conservation Journey on Chicago River

ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee is in Chicago on Wednesday, discussing a conservation initiative hosted by the Shedd Aquarium.

It encourages individuals to act, as they row along the Chicago River.

The Shedd Aquarium supports an initiative that takes you onto the water to discover how to protect and enhance the waterway that flows through the center of the city, as well as further afield.

It’s known as Kayak for Conservation.

Zee was close to the northern tributary of the Chicago River on Wednesday.

She discussed the initiative that offers individuals a “shoreline” perspective on the actions they can take to protect and enhance the urban waterway.

Kayakers might also spot the Chicago River’s well-known snapping turtle on their environmental tours.
