Lucas Salter, the CEO of Trubilt Collision Center in Eau Claire, shares some tips he has for drivers on what they can do to take care of their vehicles during this summer season and stay safe.
“Making sure you check your tire pressure. The heat typically increases your tire pressure, but having under- or overinflated tires could cause a blowout,” Lucas said.
“I would also check my windshield wipers,” Lucas continued. “Storms can pop up pretty quickly in our neck of the woods, so make sure you have a good set of blades and that they don’t streak so you can see properly.”

Some other precautions Lucas suggests are keeping an extra battery in the car in case of a breakdown, making sure the vehicle has plenty of AC fluid, and always watching out for deer and other drivers—especially motorcyclists.
