Some of the most stylish dogs were spotted showing off at the prestigious Greenwich canine exhibition, which featured a
Bridgerton
topic for this year’s widely attended occasion.
The yearly event, inaugurated in 2023 and taking place this time at the Old Royal Naval College on May 25, attracts numerous pet owners along with their cherished animals from across the nation to be evaluated by a team of experienced judges.
Join us at “all dogs, large and tiny, obedient or delightfully naughty,” an extensive eight-hour gathering where your four-legged friends can display their stunning appearances and indulge in a variety of premium pet bakery treats.
The quadruped participants vied for titles such as ‘Waggiest Tail’, ‘Handsome Hound’, ‘Cutest Pup’, ‘Glorious Golden Oldie,’ along with an introductory-level category, ‘Best Trick.’
This year’s entirely fresh ‘Best Bridgerton Lookalike’ category pays homage to the Old Royal Naval College site, which was prominently featured in the series.

Alongside Charity Wakefield, who starred in “Sense & Sensibility,” Scotland played a role in crowning the competition’s champion participants.
In addition to the competition, both the dogs and their owners could partake in various engaging activities including an Urban Food Festival and Artisan Market, as well as arts and crafts sessions and a specially designed dog-friendly afternoon tea.
Currently, adorable snapshots have showcased this year’s participating puppies in all their splendor, featuring dogs from various breeds basking in the sunlit scenes adorned with a variety of striking ‘fashion statements.’ These ensembles ranged from fluffy frocks and lavish headpieces to tailored outfits specifically created for the gentlemanly dogs.
In another instance, passionate pet lovers embraced the 19th-century Bridgerton style completely, with an owner photographed strolling beside her Schnauzer named Mr Darby, who was dressed in a flowing white gown and classic bonnet.
A fluffy white infant was spotted wearing an elegant pearl choker, whereas others displayed pristine white veils.
Although many of the puppies were eager to strut down the runway, others appeared somewhat hesitant. Owners could be seen having trouble attaching wigs to their heads, while some found it challenging to secure stylish bows onto their small dogs.
In the ‘Best Dressed Pooch’ competition, giant schnauzer Mr. Darbyshire claimed the top prize. Accompanied by his proud owner, Tara Veitch, he was seen sporting a well-tailored suit.
At the same time, French bulldog Charlotte, who secured the second spot in the Bridgerton Award, wore a classic wig paired with a pink frock and coordinating leash.
Stunningly white and fluffy Finn claimed top honors in the Best in Show category. This esteemed accolade is bestowed upon the grand champion among all the winners across various categories and selected through the judges’ decisions.
Offering an ‘unmissable experience for families’, the Greenwich Dog Show aims to ‘highlight the variety within the dog community’ and honor the ‘happiness, affection, and friendship that dogs add to our existence’.
Up to 30 dogs can enter each category, making participation in this renowned event highly competitive. Both entrants and observers are keen to enjoy the lively ambiance of this spirited contest.
Admission was free, but participants had to pay £10 to join the contest. All proceeds from the event were donated to The Greenwich Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to preserving the historic Old Royal Naval College site for future generations.

The historic site has served as a favored backdrop for numerous productions, such as the acclaimed show “Bridgerton.”
