Nigerian Afrobeats star, Bella Shmurda, has revealed that he could have ended up as a preacher or motivational speaker if he hadn’t pursued a career in music.
The singer made this known during a recent episode of the
Afrobeats Intelligence
podcast hosted by Joey Akan.
According to Bella, his spiritual depth and ability to connect with people are natural gifts that strongly influence his artistry.
“Everybody has spirituality, you just have to discover it,” he said. “I feel like if I wasn’t an artist, I might be a preacher or motivational speaker. I feel like that is my purpose, and I’ve been trying to implement it in every of my music.”
The
Cash App
crooner added that cheering people up comes naturally to him, and he believes that emotional connection is a vital part of his music.
“When I’m writing, spirituality has to be there. Even in my voice, you can feel it,” he said.
