First Clip of Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic Sends Fans to Space

Pedro Pascal Joins the Fantastic Four in New Film Teaser

A new official clip has been released featuring Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The actor, known for his role in The Last of Us, is set to reprise his role as Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, in this highly anticipated film.

This marks a significant moment for Marvel’s first family, as they finally make their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe after several previous attempts to bring them to the big screen. The cast includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, better known as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, or the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, the Thing. Julia Garner will play the Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson takes on the role of Galactus, the planet-swallowing giant.

The latest clip, released on 7 July, shows the four members of the Fantastic Four having a peaceful family dinner at exactly 7 o’clock. This scene reveals an important plot point from the film’s title: Sue is pregnant. As the family gathers, Johnny comments on Reed and Sue being late for dinner, prompting Sue to react with surprise. Ben quickly realizes that the family is about to grow by one, hinting at the arrival of Franklin Richards, their super-powered child from the comics.

In the original Marvel comics, Franklin Richards possesses immense reality-altering and psionic abilities, making him one of the most powerful heroes in the universe. While it’s unclear how this will tie into the story of Galactus visiting Earth, fans are eager to see how this development plays out.

The chemistry between the actors has been widely praised, with many fans expressing their admiration for the dynamic between the characters. One fan wrote, “If I haven’t made it obvious already. IM SEATED,” while another added, “Love the family dynamic.” Another fan said, “Oh I absolutely adore the chemistry and family dynamic between the characters in this clip. I was already sold on this cast but now I’m even more on board with all of them in these roles.”

The film, which has sparked some controversy over its branding as ‘woke’ following the casting of Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer, is set in the 1960s. It will follow the Fantastic Four as they attempt to protect their home from the threat of Galactus. Directed by Matt Shakman, the movie is scheduled to hit cinemas on 25 July 2025.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release and are already sharing their thoughts on the film. Discussions about the cast, storyline, and potential future developments are ongoing, with many expressing their excitement for what the future holds for the Fantastic Four in the MCU. As the countdown begins, the anticipation continues to build for what promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.
