Farida Parveen’s Family Confirms No Financial Barriers to Her Treatment

Family Clarifies Financial Support for Renowned Singer Farida Parveen

Farida Parveen, a celebrated Bangladeshi Lalon and folk singer, is currently receiving medical treatment with the full backing of her family. Her son, Imam Zafar Numanee, recently addressed recent rumors about her financial situation, emphasizing that there are no concerns regarding her medical expenses.

In a Facebook post, journalist-lyricist Tanvir Tareq highlighted the clarification provided by Imam Zafar Numanee, who dismissed claims suggesting that his mother was struggling to afford her treatment. He described these claims as misleading and stressed that the entire family is fully capable of covering her medical costs.

“Alhamdulillah, all of us siblings are well-established and we are fully capable of bearing our mother’s treatment expenses. Even if we didn’t contribute, my mother has sufficient savings to cover her treatment,” he said.

Imam Zafar added that the entire family, including himself, his siblings, their spouses, and other relatives, has been providing round-the-clock care for the ailing singer. He mentioned that she has been unwell for several years, particularly since 2019 when she started experiencing kidney complications. Although she has been receiving treatment for a long time, her condition recently worsened after beginning dialysis.

Despite the challenges, several individuals, including cultural ministry officials and well-wishers, reached out to the family offering financial assistance. However, Farida Parveen firmly declined any such help.

“My mother made it clear that she does not want to receive any such financial assistance,” Imam Zafar stated.

In light of this, Imam Zafar urged everyone to avoid spreading misinformation and instead focus on supporting Farida Parveen through prayers for her speedy recovery. He emphasized that her return to music would be a blessing for many.
