Fantastic Four: First Steps — Teaser Reveals Galactus’ Imminent Arrival on Earth

Dhaka, June 26 — The final trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps has arrived, offering the most detailed glimpse yet of Galactus- one of the greatest threats ever to emerge in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Set to hit theatres on July 25, the highly anticipated film promises a visually striking, retro-futuristic adventure filled with emotional drama, formidable heroes, and the arrival of a planet-devouring villain unlike anything seen before.

Marvel’s first family enters a retro world

First Steps transports viewers to a retro-futuristic Earth inspired by the 1960s, where Marvel’s legendary superhero team makes their debut. The film introduces Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm, the Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm, famously known as The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). They are joined by their infant son, Franklin Richards, and their eccentric robotic sidekick H.E.R.B.I.E., voiced by Matthew Wood.

Galactus and Silver Surfer make their debut

The trailer’s most striking reveal is Galactus, portrayed by Ralph Ineson. Known as the “Eater of Worlds,” this colossal cosmic entity arrives with the sole purpose of devouring Earth – driven not by malice, but by an insatiable hunger. His arrival leaves the heroes overwhelmed, struggling to match his immense power and scale.

Galactus is accompanied by Shalla-Bal, the film’s version of the Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner. However, longtime comic book fans know the Silver Surfer’s loyalty to Galactus may be short-lived. Drawing inspiration from the iconic 1960s “Galactus Trilogy,” the film’s storyline hints at a path that could demand sacrifice rather than triumph – with consequences that may reshape the entire multiverse.

High stakes and heroic sacrifices

The trailer suggests a darker, more serious tone compared to earlier MCU origin stories. Reed Richards openly questions whether Earth can even be saved, as the team appears weighed down not only by the threat of Galactus but also by the immense responsibility of safeguarding both the planet and their newborn son.

Yet, despite the looming danger, the film preserves a sense of awe – from its breathtaking cosmic landscapes to its nostalgic, retro-inspired world. And with a villain as colossal as Galactus, Marvel is teasing fans with the promise of limitless adventure when the film hits theaters.
