The Michigan State Spartans have 22 athletes set to join from the 2026 recruiting class. This includesBraylon Hodge, who is one of their top defensive players right now. He dominates on the field, but what kind of person is he outside of it?
Hodge caught up with Michigan State Spartans on SIRecently, he has taken the time to elaborate on what kind of person he is when he’s not on the football field, as well as his areas of interest.
Outside of the field, I’m respectful, concentrated, and motivated,” Hodge stated. “I put in effort at school and aim to serve as a positive role model for those around me. I strive to maintain the same level of enthusiasm and leadership off the field as I do when I’m playing, simply trying to be a good person overall.
The promising player also shared his hobbies beyond football. He has some distinctive ones, particularly during the winter season.
My interests include fishing, jet skiing, playing video games, and I also enjoy snowboarding during the winter,” Hodge said. “This summer, I have spent a significant amount of time with my friends visiting the reservoir.
Hodge has a wide range of hobbies beyond football.
Football plays a significant role in my life, so I dedicate a lot of time to training and exercising, constantly striving to improve,” he said. “In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, listening to music to unwind, and attending car shows. I’ve recently started to take an interest in golf as well. These are just activities that keep me both active and at ease.
Hodge also likes to listen to music, as many people do.
I enjoy listening to various genres of music,” he stated. “At the moment, I believe my favorite artist is Gunna.
Many student-athletes focus on subjects connected to sports, and Hodge is among them.
I’m still not sure about my major, but I’m certain I want to remain connected to sports, particularly football,” he stated. “Whether through playing, coaching, sports management, or perhaps sports therapy, I aim to create a career that keeps me engaged with the sport.
