The Michigan State Spartans had a strong June in terms of recruiting, securing 17 commitments from the 2026 class. They started the month with just four commitments and now have 22 scholarship pledges from that group.
They have implemented numerous different commits that were at the top of their list.recruitingboard, featuring three-star edge rusher Cory House.
Houseis among the top players in the state of Tennessee and is one of the elite defenders in the class when it comes to stopping the edge. Make no mistake, you’ll need to run it up the middle when House is on the field, as the Spartans’ commitment is a natural athlete.
House is also an admirable individual beyond the field, with many common interests. He recently shared details about his life outside of football, as well as his personality, with Michigan State Spartans On SI.
“Off the field, I’m a respectful young man,” House stated.
Regarding his primary interests, they don’t vary significantly from those of others in his age group.
“My pastimes include gaming, reading, and exercising beyond regular hours,” House stated.
One of his hobbies stands out as particularly unusual.
“I’m keen on keeping up with haircuts and growing as a barber and a more skilled football player,” he said.
Like many others, House has a fondness for music.
I enjoy all types of music, but my favorite artist is Chucky.
House disclosed his intended area of study.
“I’m attending school for football, naturally, but my area of study will be kinesiology,” he stated.
The House family pledged their support to the Spartans last month. He is a student-athlete at Whitehaven High School in Memphis and opted to join Michigan State instead of several notable rivals, such as Iowa, Memphis, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Ole Miss.
One of the less recognized edge rushers in his group, House is ranked 84th at his position and 33rd overall in Tennessee, according to the247Sports Composite rankings.
