Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, who once referred to himself as the “first buddy” of President Donald Trump, launched a high-tech restaurant namedTesla Dinerand the Drive-In in Hollywood, California, this week as enthusiasts stood for hours to witness the blend of technology and service.
Situated in West Hollywood, the Tesla Diner operates around the clock and offers 80 charging stations. Patrons can also enjoy films on two 66-foot screens while anOptimus robot serves popcorn.
Eric Greenspan, a chef based in Los Angeles,createdthe offerings at the business,as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Centered around traditional comfort dishes, the menu features fried chicken and waffles, grilled cheese, tuna melts, as well as special items such as the “Tesla Burger” served with “Electric Sauce.”

All-day breakfast choices are also available, featuring avocado toast, biscuits and gravy, and homemade cinnamon rolls. As reported by LA Eater, guests can also order side dishes such aswagyu beef chili cups, a garden salad, and “epic” pork bacon.
Musk initially introduced the concept of merging a futuristic diner with a Tesla supercharger station in 2018, stating on Twitter, “Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA.”
Now that the concept has become a reality, Musk expressed his hope to open more advanced dining locations in major cities worldwide. “If our retro-futuristic diner proves successful, which I believe it will,” Musk tweeted on July 19, “@Tesla will create these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger stations along long-distance routes.”
