The Excitement of EAA Airventure 2025
OSHKOSH, Wis. – As the summer season kicks off, the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) is preparing for its annual event, which promises to be one of the most exciting weeks in aviation history. This year’s festivities are set to begin on Monday, drawing thousands of visitors and aviation enthusiasts to the Fox Valley region. Whittman Regional Airport will transform into the busiest airport in the country during this time, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the world of aviation up close.
The EAA Airventure event is more than just an airshow; it’s a celebration of everything related to flying. From seasoned pilots to first-time visitors, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re interested in learning about aircraft, exploring home-building projects, or simply enjoying the spectacle of flight, the event has it all.
Christopher Yaladis, a Rhode Island native and long-time attendee of EAA, shares his excitement about the event. “If you are excited about aircraft, and the professionalism and intensity that is required to be a pilot, then this is the place to be,” he says. For Yaladis, this year is especially meaningful as he is flying his own plane, one he helped paint. After serving in the Air Force for over 20 years, he discovered his passion for aviation in Oshkosh. When painting his aircraft, he added his family’s constellations around the plane, giving it a deeper personal significance.
“I get so much joy from the paint scheme and why it means so much to me,” Yaladis explains. “I love that other people want to see it too. That’s why I came to Oshkosh this year with the plane, to really show it off so other people can enjoy it too.”
For many attendees, this will be their first visit to EAA, and they are eager to experience what a week at the event entails. John Jensen, a visitor from Richmond, Virginia, has always had an interest in aviation. “It has always been a goal of mine to come out here, and I was able to bring my son with me this year,” he says. “I think it is going to be a really good experience, and I’m excited for the week.”
The event offers a wide range of activities, including aircraft displays, live demonstrations, and educational sessions. Attendees can explore various aspects of aviation, from the mechanics of flight to the art of building aircraft. With so much to see and learn, it’s no wonder that many leave feeling inspired and eager to return next year.
EAA Airventure 2025 will run from July 21st to July 27th at Whittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. Whether you’re a lifelong aviation enthusiast or a curious newcomer, this event provides an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
