The network informed the nightly show’s team on Thursday that the last episode will be recorded on September 25, theLos Angeles Timesreports. The channel’s news team will continue to create online content. Approximately 20 positions will be eliminated. E!, owned by Comcast, will join a new company called Versant, alongside other cable networks, according toVarietyNetwork executives attributed the cancellation to shifting preferences.
