Delhi University Undergraduate Admissions 2025: Key Updates and Details

Delhi University is set to release the second round of undergraduate admissions vacant seats list on July 24, 2025. This will be part of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) process. Following this, the results for the second round seat allotment will be announced at 5 PM on July 28, 2025, on the official website at admissions.uod.ac.in.

Once the vacant seat list is published, candidates will have a two-day window—July 24 to July 25—to modify their college and course preferences. Those who are allocated a seat in the second round must confirm their allocation between 5 PM on July 28 and 4:59 PM on July 30.

In the first round of admissions, Delhi University offered a total of 93,166 allocations against 71,624 available seats. Out of these, 72,659 candidates accepted their respective seats. This pattern of over-allocation is expected to result in internal shifts and reallocations in subsequent rounds, as has been observed in previous years.

This year, a significant number of students—3,05,357 in total—logged into the CSAS portal. Of these, 2,39,890 completed the preference-filling exercise. The gender distribution among applicants was as follows: 53.06% (1,27,284) were female candidates, and 46.93% (1,12,603) were male candidates.

Popular Courses in 2025

The most sought-after course this year was BCom (Hons), with an impressive 19,90,966 programme-college combinations. Other popular courses included:

  • BA (Hons) English: 12,23,388 preferences
