On the night of Saturday, June 14, Russian forces launched drones over the Zaporizhzhia region. Explosions were reported, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, and the Ukrainian Air Forces.
“Explosions in the Zaporizhzhia region. Until the all-clear, stay in safe places,” he wrote.
According to Fedorov, air defense systems are active in the Zaporizhzhia region.
At the same time, the Air Forces warned that Zaporizhzhia faces a threat from attack drones. Shahed drones have been spotted over the Zaporizhzhia region, flying both westward and eastward.
Drone attacks
On the evening of Friday, June 13, Russian forces launched attack drones over Ukraine.
So far, drones have been spotted not only in the Zaporizhzhia region but also in several others, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk.
The Russian army most often targets civilian infrastructure with these drones, resulting in injuries and casualties among the civilian population.
