Dr Fayaz Lateef has officially taken charge as the new Director of the Institute of Sindhology, University of Sindh, Jamshoro. The formal handing-over ceremony was held at the Director’s Office on Monday.
According to an SU spokesperson, the outgoing Director G Murtaza Siyal welcomed Dr Fayaz and extended his heartfelt best wishes for his new role.
Speaking on the occasion, Siyal said, ‘It is a matter of pride that a learned scholar like Dr Fayaz Lateef is taking over the directorship of this prestigious institution. I am confident that under his leadership, the Institute will continue to thrive and uphold its legacy.’ Dr Fayaz expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to promote research, preservation and dissemination of Sindh’s rich cultural and literary heritage through the platform of the institute.
