Famous Nigerian actor Deyemi Okanlawon has shared details of his latest venture shooting a film in Japan, calling it the most incredible experience of his lifetime.
The actor, who entered the Japanese entertainment scene in March 2025, shared his experiences during a guest spot on a Japanese television show.
He disclosed that he had dedicated three months to working on a science fiction TV show in partnership with NHK Japan, one of the nation’s leading broadcasting companies.
“I recently returned from filming a science fiction TV series in Japan. They were looking for an African character, did their due diligence, and reached out to me. I spent three months there shooting the show. It turned out to be the most incredible experience of my life,” Okanlawon shared.
He commended the Japanese commitment to hard work and superior quality, saying, “When you think of Japan, one thing stands out: their pursuit of excellence.”
