The Wuzhifeng Scenic Area in Hunan Province has become popular lately due to its cliffside beds; however, adventurers must satisfy strict health criteria to guarantee their safety.
The managing committee of the region provides specialized beds attached to the edges of Wuzhifeng’s granite cliffs, which stand at an altitude of 1,600 meters above the ground.
In order to participate, individuals must be at least 1.4 meters tall, not exceed 100 kilograms in weight, have a waist size of no more than 100 centimeters, use a safety harness, and follow the guidelines provided by the staff.
But the activity is temporarily stopped when there is rain, snow or strong winds.
The trial began on April 10 and it became officially accessible on April 28, with more than 400 adrenaline seekers having experienced it thus far.
Guests have the option to purchase tickets right at the desk.
On online travel booking platforms, the “cliffside bed” experience is part of the “Cliff Coffee – Via Ferrata” service bundle and comes with a price tag of 98 yuan (US$13.63).
The duration of the experience is around 40 minutes, and the cost covers a coffee drink, top-notch safety gear, certified instructors, insurance coverage, and a completion certificate.
The participants should be aged from 14 to 60 years old and must not suffer from cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or any other illnesses.
It is accessible solely from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no options for staying overnight.
