During Milly’s candle lighting ceremony, Sheila demonstrated immense strength during her mother’s funeral
Milly Wa Doc’s daughter Sheila has beautifully honoured her mum during a candle lighting ceremony in Nakuru.
Milly broke generational traumas with her kids, especially with her daughter Sheila.
She lacked finances while growing up, but she made sure that her daughter did not.
The mother of two and her daughter had a beautiful bond, and Sheila could confide in her mother.
For the 15-year-old, her mum was her pride and solace, and over the years, they have documented bits of their lives.
Sheila thanked mourners who attended her mother’s candle lighting ceremony in Nakuru.
The young one said that no one could replace her mother in her life. She demonstrated immense strength while eulogising her mum.
“Hi guys, thank you all for coming. I would like to say that I love my mum so much, even when she is gone, she will forever stay in my heart. I’d like to say that her life wasn’t a joke and she mattered.”
Milly was her daughter’s role model. Her kindheartedness and compassion were her greatest strengths.
“She was my role model, and I am basically her copy, but in a different font and colour. I love my mum so much, and it is such a painful loss. Mums are irreplaceable, there is no woman who can come into my life and be my mum because I truly love my mum so much. My mum was the type of person who would see a hungry person and help them.”
Sheila called out Kenyans making fun of her mother’s death to gain fame.
She made sure to reiterate that her mother’s life mattered and her children and siblings loved her.
“Even if you record it, it won’t change the fact that she is gone. Some people are using her death as a joke, and it really is not funny. At the end of the day, yes, we need the help and support, but my mum’s life wasn’t a joke. Even if she was TikTok famous, she was also a mum and a great soul. I will carry on her legacy. Right now, I am being strong because that is what she would have wanted. She is my guardian angel.”
