Connecticut Pizza and Brew Fest Brings Together Local Flavors
In a vibrant celebration of food and community, dozens of vendors and visitors gathered at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport for the Connecticut Pizza and Brew Fest. The event, held on Sunday, showcased the best of Connecticut’s culinary scene, drawing food lovers from across the state.
The festival featured a wide array of local pizzerias, including Frank Pepe’s and Zuppardi’s, which are well-known names in the pizza world. These popular spots brought their signature pies to the event, offering attendees a chance to sample different styles and flavors. Organizer Kevin Begley expressed his enthusiasm for the event, noting that it had drawn huge crowds. “It’s awesome, it’s a celebration of our state’s best food, pizza,” he said. “We got some of the best pizza places in the state of Connecticut here in one spot, along with local breweries—about 30 of them—and seltzers from all around New England, the tri-state area. Everyone’s having a great time.”
This year marked the third edition of the Connecticut Pizza and Brew Fest, which has quickly become a favorite among food enthusiasts. The event is organized by 99.1 PLR and the New Haven Pizza School, who are already looking forward to next year’s festivities.
