Coronel Surges to Second Place in Nation’s Ryan Motorsports Insurance Auto Racing Rankings

Rocco Coronel, who is backed by Red Bull, has shown significant improvement in the Ryan Motorsports Insurance National Rankings this week following his consecutive victories in the Ginetta Junior series at Oulton Park.

The young Dutch competitor was merely 0.003 seconds off completing a hat-trick in Cheshire but fell short at the last moment.

Despite this, he advances from 12th place to second on the leaderboard following his 2025 total of seven wins, just two shy of leader Ali Bray. Interestingly, this places him alongside Steve Gambrell as rookies in the top three positions of the winners’ chart!

After huge shuffling on the leaderboard last week, there were fewer race meetings this time around and Coronel is the only change inside the top 10. Instead, you have to go all the way down to 14th place to find the next driver to rise up the rankings.

Every car race held in the UK and Ireland is covered here, excluding qualifying/repechage, consolation, and handicap events. There are no races featured from other nations.

Class victories are recorded only if there are at least six participants within the specific class, unless:
– The competition includes several stages like a series of heats leading up to a semi-final or final round with participation of six or more drivers.
– In races combining different championships, the ‘general’ victor from the less competitive championship may be credited with a class victory provided their category had ten or more entrants throughout various divisions.
Note that this rule applies solely to classifications based on vehicle specifications rather than those defined by driver attributes such as skill level, professionalism, age, or prior racing experience (like novice or Pro-Am tiers).
Additionally, each contest contributes just one instance towards these statistics—thus, winning both the main event and a particular class does not double-count the achievement.

In case of a tie, the number of overall victories will be used to break it. If the tie persists, then the average starting position for those wins will determine the ranking.
