On Wednesday, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) successfully organized the ‘Industry Connection (Career Fair)’ event at its campus located in Islamabad.
The inauguration of the expo was conducted by Professor Dr. Sohail Asghar, who oversees the Islamabad campus operations. Approximately sixty leading corporations were part of this event. Among them were notable entities such as Allied Bank, Askari Bank, HBL Microfinance Bank, Mobilink Microfinance Bank, Haideri Beverages, Gourmet Cola, Cheezious, Tapal Tea, Study in Australia Education Consultancy, Times Consultancy, Study-In, Jin Technologies, Alachisoft, Zameen.com, Electronic Interconnect Engineering, Ciklum, Urtasker, Claim Care, Jazz, Ace Money Transfer, Paysa, Nayatel, and the Shanghai Zixel Company, along with several other premier Pakistani firms. This exhibition served as an opportunity for senior-year students to display their work and engage directly with potential employers from these involved organizations.
The showcased projects came from various programs within Computer Science disciplines such as Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science. Additionally, they included contributions from multiple departments including Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and Biosciences.
A large crowd was present at the gathering, commending its setup.
This occasion connected the academic world with the industrial sector, providing students with significant chances for advancing their careers and building professional connections.
