One of the Top 3 arts festivals in the U.S. is currently underway — and you don’t have to leave the city to attend it!
The Columbus Arts Festival, voted the
second-best art festival
in the country in a recent USA TODAY Readers’ Choice Awards poll, is transforming the Downtown riverfront into a bustling hub of activity expected to draw almost 500,000 people.
The unofficial kickoff to summer festival season, the three-day event features more than 250 exhibiting artists, four stages of entertainment and other attractions along the Scioto Mile, the Rich and Main Street bridges and in front of COSI.
Free to attend, the festival runs until 10 p.m. June 6, then will continue from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 7 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 8. Artists’ booths close at 9 p.m. June 6-7.
New this year is a
downloadable map
to assist visitors with sensory needs by identifying areas with heightened sounds, smells and lights. An overall festival map, food and beverage lists, entertainment schedule and artist gallery are available at
columbusartsfestival.org
