TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Sunday was the “Topeka Family and Friends Juneteenth Gospel Extravaganza” at St. John’s AME Church. It built upon the week of Juneteenth commemoration.
This fourth annual extravaganza featured ten performances from church-goers of all ages.
Those attending consisted of folks from churches across the capital city, all coming together to sing gospel and celebrate history. The festive week concludes on Monday with a taco celebration.
