Chico State received a $1.5 million TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
The funding continues 25 years of TRIO SSS at Chico State, during which they have helped over 4,000 students remain on course to complete their degrees and develop successful careers.
“This funding enables Chico State to strengthen our dedication to making sure every student—no matter their background—can succeed both in school and in life,” said Katherin Razo-Gomez, director of TRIO SSS.
Student Support Services provides our students with the resources and self-assurance needed to complete their studies at the University and emerge as involved, contributing members and leaders in their respective fields.
The TRIO initiative is expected to assist more than 100 students in successfully transitioning to Chico State University this year.
The autumn semester at Chico State starts on August 25.
