Charges Laid Against Keheliya and Family: International Edition

Srilanka, June 26 — The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has filed indictments comprising 43 charges against former Minister of Media, Health, and Environment Keheliya Rambukwella and five members of his family.

The accused include:

Keheliya Bandara Rambukwella, Priyadarshani Epa Weihen, Chamithri Jananika Rambukwella, Ramalee Rambukwella, Amali Rambukwella, Isuru Bandara Polgasdeniya

According to the indictment, the group is alleged to have conspired to commit money laundering through direct involvement, aiding and abetting, or forming a common plan that led to the offense being committed.

The charges relate to violations of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Bribery and Corruption laws in Sri Lanka
