Cameron Smith and Danika Mason’s Revelation Emerges Following Isaac Moses Drama at Channel 9

Fresh information has come to light regarding the extent of Isaac Moses’ impact at Channel 9 following the

controversial NRL agent

removed journalist Michael Chammas from the ‘100% Footy’ panel earlier this month. Chammas did not appear in his usual position on the Monday evening football show on Nine during the segment featuring Mitchell Moses as a guest.

The Parramatta halfback is under the management of his cousin Isaac, who has differing opinions with Chammas. Reports indicate that Isaac Moses informed executives at Nine that Mitchell would be featured on the show only if Chammas was not part of the panel for that particular evening.

Chammas subsequently disclosed that he volunteered to withdraw from appearing, following Nine’s compliance with Moses’ request. Moses holds significant sway within the NRL sphere and oversees a roster featuring some of the competition’s top talents.

However, he is quite contentious and had been previously unregistered by the NRL. The Sydney Roosters notably

decline to discuss with any participant associated with Moses

.

However, fresh information has come to light regarding other individuals he represents, which includes those who aren’t players. This sheds considerable light on why Nine likely conceded to his requests to remove Chammas.

Over the weekend, Moses also oversees the retired Melbourne Storm legend Cameron Smith, who frequently appears on the ‘100% Footy’ panel. Additionally, Nine broadcaster Danika Mason benefits from Moses’ guidance as he assists with her media endeavors. On Saturday, Phil Rothfield noted this presents “a particularly uncomfortable scenario for Mason since, similar to others in rugby league, she holds Chammas in such high regard.”

Speaking on Triple M radio after being kicked off the ‘100% Footy’ panel, Chammas revealed he used to be close with Moses but the pair haven’t spoken for the last eight years. Chammas said he refused to be a “mouth piece” for Moses, and the agent cut him off as a result.

He achieves this through clubs; he aims to exert his authority and dominance,” Chammas explained. “He has supporters within the media, and if you’re not amplifying his message, it becomes a one-sided affair. Those who don’t comply find themselves sidelined.

On the ‘Off the Record with Buzz and Webby’ podcast, Rothfield and co-journalist Andrew Webster harshly criticized Channel 9 for dismissing Chammas. “Channel 9 is being incredibly weak,” stated Webster, who had previously worked for the same network.

There’s absolutely no way this should be permitted. Discussing it is challenging for me since I departed from the organization last year after spending many years there. There are numerous individuals whom I deeply care for and admire who continue to work there, which likely reflects why I stopped being employed by them. The frustration one faces as a journalist attempting to carry out their duties adds to the issue.

Chammas puts in an enormous amount of effort. He runs after the ball like a greyhound. The sole positive aspect is that this shows he isn’t under Isaac Moses’ influence. This is because Moses has prevented him from appearing on the program.

Webster suggested that the NRL ought to intervene, whereas Rothfield commented: “Who do they believe they are? How dare they! I’m furious about this, and it has absolutely nothing to do with me.”
