A Camas-based startup specializing in artificial intelligence and data centers has secured almost $17 million out of a planned $25 million funding round, as indicated by recent regulatory documents.
PowerLattice Technologies claims on their website that they are striving to enhance power distribution in high-performance computing systems.
The organization counts former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger and Steve Fu, presumably a partner at the Bay Area-based venture capital firm Celesta, as part of its board. Presently, current Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan serves as one of Celesta’s managing partners.

The firm’s website states that its main office is located in a shared workspace area slightly to the east of Vancouver.
PowerLattice did not respond Tuesday to requests for comment. Neither did Celesta or a representative for Gelsinger.
Artificial intelligence and data centers use enormous amounts of electricity. Power delivery technology could help manage that energy more efficiently—either by boosting computing power or reducing electricity use.

In 2022, Gelsinger brought Tan onto Intel’s board. However, Tan stepped down after two years, apparently due to his dissatisfaction with Intel’s expenditure rates and its complex hierarchical structure.
