struck during the draw that took place on Saturday, May 31. The jackpot has since reverted to $20 million.

Powerball
Officials state that the winner can choose between an annuity paid out over time for $204.5 million or accept a lump sum of $91.6 million. It’s important to note that both amounts are pre-tax.
The lucky ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven located on Woodman Avenue in Arleta, California, an area situated just north of Los Angeles.
This marks the fourth Powerball jackpot win of the year. The most recent grand prize was claimed on April 26 by someone from Kentucky who walked away with $167.3 million.
A lucky participant from Oregon became the inaugural winner of this year’s grand Powerball draw, claiming an impressive $328.5 million prize on January 18th.
The largest prize in 2025, however, was won on March 29 when a buyer matched all six Powerball numbers and won $527 million.
The latest jackpot was drawn on Saturday with the numbers 1, 29, 37, 56, 68, along with the Powerball number 13.
Another two individuals—one hailing from Florida and the other from New Hampshire—claimed the $2 million Match 5 + Power Play jackpot.
The upcoming Powerball draw is scheduled for Monday, June 2, shortly after 11 PM EST.
